She is a respected expert witness and a seasoned, dynamic speaker, known for bringing clarity and confidence to complex financial matters. With over 40 years of experience, Suelen offers a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach across insolvency, turnaround management, financial investigations and business valuations.
Background:
Suelen joined dVT Group (now DVT Mcleods) in 2002, bringing with her a strong foundation built through years at leading insolvency firms such as PPB. She developed her accounting expertise under the guidance of some of the profession’s most respected figures and broadened her commercial insight through roles in the corporate sector.
Appointed Partner in 2016, Suelen has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s direction and expanding its service offerings. She was the top student in the inaugural Turnaround Management Association certification course and completed the first Business Valuation Specialist Accreditation through Chartered Accountants ANZ. Her leadership was key in establishing the firm’s Consulting division, where she continues to deliver specialist business valuation and litigation support services. Suelen also serves as a Director, Secretary, and Member of the Association of Independent Insolvency Practitioners (AIIP), further highlighting her leadership and influence within the industry.
Her commitment to empowering others and giving back to the community is reflected in her recent initiatives. She has chaired the committee for the Inspirational Women’s Breakfast in Sydney for the past 14 years, an annual event supporting Special Olympics Australia and celebrating women in leadership. She also now runs Ladies Connect, a professional women’s networking lunch created to support professional women in business, the workplace, and the broader community. She also launched the Breakfast Roundtable campaign, where she collaborates with specialists from the legal, finance, and accounting sectors to help educate the wider public on industry issues and real-life challenges, raising awareness of the warning signs and how expert support can make a difference before problems escalate.
