Schon is a Principal Consultant at DVT Mcleod’s, following his tenure as Managing Principal of Condon Associates prior to its merger with dVT Group (now DVT Mcleods) in July 2024. With a professional journey spanning 50 years, including roles at Hungerford’s, Arthur Andersen, Jones Condon, and Condon Associates. Schon brings a wealth of experience and insight to the firm. He is a Registered Company Auditor, Registered Tax Agent, Licensed Real Estate Agent, Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy (appointed by the Federal Court of Australia), and an Official Liquidator (appointed by the Supreme Court of NSW).
Background:
Schon holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney, a Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Canberra and is a graduate of the Australian Command and Staff College in Canberra. His academic foundation supports a career that spans five decades and a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, hospitality, retail, construction, real estate, finance, medical, marketing, import/export, transport, and not-for-profits.
Throughout his career, Schon has developed deep expertise in accounting, management, and specialised areas such as litigation support, forensic accounting, taxation, audits, crisis and turnaround management, asset valuation, investigations, and executorships. He is highly skilled in implementing turnaround plans and managing business and trust operations, playing a pivotal role in safeguarding assets and navigating financial distress.
In addition to his technical capabilities, Schon serves as an advisor, expert witness, mentor, and legal consultant in both State and Federal Courts, advocating for the interests of plaintiffs and defendants. His strategic insight and versatility continue to make him an invaluable resource within DVT Mcleods.
