Riad is one of the original co-founders of the dVT Group prior to its evolution into DVT Mcleods and now serves as a Principal Consultant within the firm. With over 30 years of experience in insolvency, restructuring, and financial investigation, he continues to be a highly valued contributor. Riad plays a key role in supporting the firm with his specialised expertise and is a respected leader and coach, actively mentoring the next generation of professionals.
Background:
Riad began his career at Coopers & Lybrand, followed by senior roles at Ferrier Hodgson in both Sydney and Hong Kong. During his decade in the Hong Kong market, he led the restructuring of listed companies, managed major liquidations, conducted fraud investigations, and provided litigation support. His work extended beyond insolvency, assisting businesses with restructuring strategies, equity raising, acquisitions, and exit planning.
In addition to his consulting role, Riad also serves as Head of Marketing at DVT Mcleods, where he brings strategic insight and creativity to the firm’s brand and communications. Known for his tough-minded and astute approach, Riad continues to make a lasting impact through his leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to developing future talent within the industry.

- Fundraising events throughout Australia as President with TMA
- Sportsmans Lunch raising funds for the Special Olympics in NSW, VIC and QLD
- Established Laugh Out Loud Breakfast Event with over 700 attendees annually for Special Olympics Australia
- Instrumental in establishing Get on Stage Lunch held at Riverside Theatre to raise funds for the intellectually disabled people to be able to participate in the Theatre
- Volleyball Australia/Oceania Volleyball/Asian Volleyball Confederation
